Manuka Doctor Miracle for Acne Scars

I wanted to give this product a little post of it's own due to the amount of years I have been searching for something to help with my acne scarring on my face, I never had severe acne maybe the odd breakout and spot here and there through hormonal changes when I was younger but I have very fair skin which is so prone to scarring it's unreal; a pen could scratch me and I'd be marked for life.

I have tried so many of the marketed scarring brands out there and none of them have worked for me the way this has...

I can honestly say in less than two weeks I have noticed such a big difference in the appearance of my skin, all thanks to the Manuka Doctor Api Clear Skin Treatment Serum.
I apologise that I don't have any before or after pictures but I honestly wasn't counting on it to work. However I am not sponsored for this post, nor would I be writing about a product if I didn't truly believe in it.

Let me tell you a little bit about the product itself first...
So if you haven't already heard of the brand Manuka Doctor they create beauty products using Manuka Honey directly from bee keepers which harvest the honey from their hives, the whole process is absolutely 100% bee friendly. If you want to learn more about their products and ranges feel free to head to their online page at

I chose to go with something from the Api Clear range due to it claiming to tackle skin imperfections focusing on acne and scars, I purchased the serum from

The Skin Treatment Serum says it is dermatologically tested and proven to:

  • Moisturise blemish prone skin
  • Helps to reduce the cause of blemishes
  • Helps balance troubled skin
  • Skin Perfecting
  • Skin appears more even toned and youthful

I began using this product 10 days ago and already it has cleared my skin so much, I use two pumps morning and night and place it all over my face focusing it onto my cheek and chin area. When I wore no makeup my face would look as though I was spotty but that was due to the scarring being so red and prominent whereas when you actually felt the texture of my face it would be completely smooth.

Now I have been using this the redness has completely gone down and my scars are nearly gone, my face is beginning to look so much more even and all one skin tone. All I have literally ever wanted just from one product! When you pump the serum out it is clear, cold and refreshing and feels so hydrating. I have tried other serums before and this one has such a different consistency to others I have used before, it's so light and doesn't feel drying like most serums or sticky considering it's full of honey!

I do not know what I would do without this product now, it has become so consistent in my skin care and changed my whole routine. I can't wait to do a skin care routine now as I am so happy with how my skin is looking naturally, I'm just waiting on my holy moisturiser to get back in stock as it is sold out everywhere!

If you suffer from scarring or need a secret gem in your skin care routine to help with creating that perfect base for your makeup, give Manuka Doctor a try I am so glad I did!!

I'll see you all soon.

Over 50 Beauty Empties

If you're quite a regular in the beauty community you have probably heard of an empties video or post before... but for those of you who haven't an empties is basically showing you a bunch of products  which I have either used completely up or I'm getting rid of because I plainly just don't like them.

To accumulate over 50 empty products seems like a lot but let me explain... my empties bag has been building up since July and I have been struggling to find the time to blog for a few months due to work commitments but my overflowing empties bag wasn't going anywhere so I thought I would use it as motivation.

To make 50 product's easier to navigate I've split them up and listed them either in 'Repurchases' things I would buy again or have already and 'Regrets' things I didn't enjoy using.

Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer With Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter Shampoo and Conditioner

So if you couldn't already tell by this picture I have found my new holy grail!  I was always looking for something which suited my hair, until I came across Garnier's new coconut and cocoa butter range. I have been through 5 bottles already and I also have a bit of the deep conditioner left. I am completely obsessed. After using this my hair has never been more soft, luxurious and smells incredible! I can not praise Garnier enough for this new Ultimate Blends collection, especially as this new range has something for all hair types if you need something to make you feel salon ready every time you wash your hair look no further than your local drug store.

Batiste Dry Shampoo 'Beautiful Brunette'

Sticking with the hair theme I have two empty bottles of dry shampoo, I only ever use the Batiste range and the beautiful brunette tin as with having dark hair I feel paranoid that I haven't rubbed it in properly. I wouldn't want to have dark hair with chalky roots now would I? I repurchase this all the time it is definitely a 'go to' product for me.

Milkshake Incredible Milk 12 Effects Leave In Conditioner

This tiny little bottle is a miracle worker and full of natural ingredients... This has been in my empties for a while and I know this because I'm pretty sure I've had at least three hair cut's since, I got this from my hairdresser. I can't remember the last time she used a different product on my hair after having a treatment done and the smell is amazing, it smells like butter cream one of the best smells right? There are 12 different effects it does but the main ones are for frizz control, split ends, heat protection, detangling etc.

I do know that you can pick this up from Amazon and Beauty Bay which I intend on doing as for around £10-£12 for a big bottle depending where you buy it from, it is definitely worth it considering it lasts so long as you only need a small amount and it lasts in your hair for days on end.

Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub & Let The Good Times Roll Face Cleanser

The reason behind picking up the Rub Rub Rub Scrub is because the first time I ever bought this was for a friend's gift and me being me decided I liked the smell and look of it so much I needed one for myself, I love it the scrub itself is a bubblegum blue colour and the smell is quite fresh due to the natural fruit in the product;  I like how it's not big lumps of salt, considering it is a scrub it glides on your skin really nicely and leaves a smooth residue to rinse off when your in the shower. Perfect for prepping for a false tanning session.

Let The Good Times Roll Cleanser is literally always in my empties, it is my most favourite Lush product. I love how smooth it makes my skin feel and the fact it smells like popcorn is literally delicious, I think I have about three of these pots to take back to the store.

Radox Feel Gorgeous 'Coconut Kiss' Shower Cream

Imperial Leather 'Day At The Spa Shea Butter & Honey Suckle' Body Wash

Imperial Leather 'Mango and Papaya' Shower Cream

Radox Feel Pampered With 'Shea Butter & Ginger' Bath Soak

I am a self confessed shower cream junkie, I have used all of these shower creams over and over again except for the Imperial Leather Mango and Papaya as I think it is a new range.. I really like it though especially for after the gym and in the morning when I can't wake up as it's a really awakening scent. I love Radox and Imperial Leather, I find it hard to draw myself to any other bath and body brand so if you have any other suggestions please let me know.

Dove Nourishing Body Cream & Garnier Ambre Solaire After Sun

I have been using the Dove Nourishing Body Cream for quite a while now and I do like it but I have never been able to find the Cocoa Butter version, which made me buy it in the first place since I'm thinking it must have been discontinued. But I'm a girl who is a sucker for anything that smells good and even though I liked the original formula and smell I have since bought a different moisturiser which I think I prefer more.. however if I ever come across the Cocoa Butter Version again I will definitely be stocking up.

This September which seems like it was last year me and my other half went on a holiday to Cyprus, I picked up this Garnier Ambre Solaire After Sun to take away with me for any sunburn emergencies. I actually really liked it. I liked the fact it was in a pot as majority of After Sun's are in a bottle and I never feel like you can get all of the product's use. It was really cooling and refreshing it reminded me of melon and cucumber, the texture felt like crushed ice; it was a really nice fresh product to use and I wouldn't hesitate to pack it in my suitcase again.

Simple Facial Toner & Simple Eye Make Up Remover Cream

Surprise Surprise Simple has made it's way into my empties again, it always does and it always will. Simple's products work so well for my skin, I wouldn't say I have sensitive skin but I can always tell when I use products with less chemicals and more natural ingredients it just over all reacts better. This eye makeup remover cream is my all time favourite from the Simple range, I have never found a better eye makeup remover and I go into complete panic mode if I can't find it in stock anywhere because majority of the time it's cleared right off the shelves it must be loved.

Soap & Glory
'No Clogs Allowed' Super Self Heating Deep Pore Detox Mask

This has to be one of them products that is super weird but you fall in love with it anyway, you pump out a grape sized amount and distribute it around your face; then you wet your hands and rub it into your skin the mask turns blue and begins to heat up! Not going to lie, it freaked me out at first but hell it makes you feel clean. I like the fact it's not a mask that you have to wait for if your skin is feeling yucky and you need a quick fix this is perfect to use.

Soap & Glory 'Beauty Sleep Accelerator Night & Flight Moisture Miracle'

I love nothing more than slapping Soap & Glory's Moisture Miracle all over my face when my skin is feeling dehydrated, the texture is like a balm and once it touches your skin it's as though it melts and places a layer on top of your skin. Now I hate thick moisturises but this is not sticky in the slightest bit, my skin is really dehydrated at the moment so this has been a life saver; I also took it with me on my flight to stop any breakouts from taking place.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

There are two of these miniature cleansing water's in my empties this time and I think it is because I picked them up in a set, if I remember correctly. Do I like it? Yes. Would I buy it again? Probably not. I like the size as it is compact and good for travelling or overnight stays...
But I don't think it gets rid of makeup like it is supposed to. Whenever I have used this I'm always left with a bulk load of mascara on so to me it makes me feel as though there is still makeup left on my skin, saying that though I do want to try Simple's version of their micellar water and see if I like that one.

Glam Glow Super Mud Clearing Treatment

I'm pretty sure when this baby became an empty I did a realistic version of the crying face emoji, I enjoyed using this mask so much obviously it's the best face mask I've ever used and I can't wait to re buy it and all of it's friends from the Glam Glow Range. I literally just need them all in my life. I get such pleasure out of seeing all the impurities drawn out of my skin when the mask is dried, it makes all of the oil and yuckiness black on top of the mask which I think is pretty cool plus it's letting you know it's done it's job.

Biore Blemish Clearing Scrub

I picked this up one time when it was on offer in Superdrug and I was in need of a new facial scrub, at first I really liked it,
it cleared my skin felt like it was cleaning deep into my pores and then after a couple of weeks I felt like it started to break me out a lot. Now this was the only thing I had changed and I wasn't wearing makeup because I don't tend to at work as I do really long shifts, I stopped using it and it started to calm down a little.
I did like the product so I don't know if I was just using it too often maybe, I do want to try it again though so maybe the second time around I'll use it a little less and see what happens.

Dove Pomegranate Roll On Deodorant
Impulse Sweet Smile Body Fragrance
Soft & Gentle Jasmine and Cocoa Milk Deodorant
Soft & Gentle Lotus and Watermelon Deodorant

Once again these are brand's which will usually be in my empties, due to the fact I always go back to them. I always have an impulse fragrance on me but my favourite has to be the Charlie XOX scent at the minute, the sweet smile fragrance is a little bit to rich for my liking; I think there is a black and pink bottle which is called Sweet Pink which I also really like.

As for the Dove roll on, for me a roll on is a roll on it does it's job, I like to take them
to the gym just because I am aware some people can have asthma and some people don't consider how much aerosol fragrances can cause triggers for asthma attacks.

However when I am at home I use aerosol deodorant's I have used the Soft & Gentle brand for as long as I can remember and I don't know if it is because it was a brand my mum always used, I do also use dove aerosol's but you tend to get more product from Soft & Gentle and I really like the scent's that they use especially the Jasmine and Cocoa Milk.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in Ivory
Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hour Foundation in Ivory
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Ivory
Loreal Brow Artist Plumper in Medium/Dark
Next Gold Edition Perfume

There was simply no point in splitting up these makeup items as I have repurchased every single one of them already, these are products which I use pretty much all the time for those 'normal day' makeup looks. They're products which I can rely on and I know how to work with and they're so easy to get your hands on, as for the Next Perfume I was after a perfume which wasn't a fortune to spend that I could put on everyday for work a friend of mine actually bought me this after I complimented her on it. The bottle didn't last me long with it only being small and obviously wearing it everyday it was going to run out sooner or later.. but I do really like the smell of the Gold Line even the body lotion is really nice and they make perfect gifts for friends and family.

Cute Nutrition Meal Replacement Shake in Chocolate

Last of all for my repurchases list a nice little nutrition entry, now this should not be the only Cute Nutrition tub in my empties but that is because they couldn't all fit in the bag so some of them are in the recycling bin in fact one of them is holding my dad's copper coins.
I decided to join the Cute Nutrition hype after I finished my Protein World Supplement and I wanted to try a different protein as if you have read my 6 month protein world review, it didn't leave the lasting impression I wanted.

Cute Nutrition on the other hand... has become a big part of my life now. Within four weeks of using the Cute brand I lost 7lbs, now I'm quite slim anyways but there was always some bits I could do with losing a couple of pounds from and I've literally not looked back. Don't get me wrong I haven't had a complete transformation and I definitely do not look like the 'cutie' models they link on their Instagram page but nevertheless I'm hooked.  I use it pretty much 4 times a week depending on my shifts at work, I start at 7:00am and sometimes there is no time for breakfast making so the shakes are handy for me to have on the go. The shakes are just so convenient for my busy lifestyle and taste so yummy with Almond Milk, I can't recommend them enough and don't quite know what I would be doing without them now.

I literally didn't think that Repurchase list was going to end 40 something products later.. here we are at the regrets section bboooo.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash

A while back I had been wanting to try the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Face Wash for a while, personally I think it was the packaging which drew me to it.. it does look very pretty. Even though I used it up, it didn't give me the Wow factor I was expecting; in fact it just made my skin feel really dry and there is nothing worse than having a nice cleansing wash and not feeling squeaky clean and smooth after it. I'm afraid this just wasn't the right face wash for me, but please do not let that put you off! Products work differently on all skin types. My regrettable purchase could be somebody else's holy grail, that is the beauty of the trade.

Garnier Ultimate Blends 1 Minute Treatment The Glow Replenisher

I bought this in September as I was packing to go away on holiday and was in need of a deep conditioner to get rid of any swimming hair dryness. I ended up finding that the normal cocoa butter conditioner from Garnier actually did a better job, I was actually pretty disappointed if I'm honest. Usually I love deep conditioners they're one of my favourite beauty products and this probably has to be the only one I have ever disliked.

Lush Cosmetics The Comforter Shower Cream

This has to be the second type of shower cream I have tried from Lush and I just don't rate them.. Obviously I'm an obsessive when it comes to their bath bombs and scrubs, but I just can't take to their shower creams. I like my showers to be full of foam and strong scents and even though this smelt nice, I just didn't like the texture it didn't foam up at all and it just looked like a pink mess running down my skin. Sorry Lush.

Skinny Tan Self Tanning Mousse

Don't let me fool you, Skinny Tan is not in my regrets because I do not like it.. it's in there because honestly I think that there are cheaper tans on the market which I prefer. I did a review on Skinny Tan in June and even though I like it, I just don't think it's a product which I would go instantly to buy again. However when I did have this tan on, I got tons of comments saying how natural it looks, people think I've been on holiday. Pppfftt I wish!

Hey Honey, Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum

I received this Hey Honey sample in a glossy box a while ago, this same sample is actually still full. I am actually going to give this to somebody else, it's just a product lay in my draw never getting used. After a few times of using it, I just found the texture a bit to sticky for me so hopefully somebody else can get some use out of it.

L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Anti-Fatigue Moisturiser

This L'Oreal Moisturiser has probably got about 5 more uses out of it, but it's gone in the empties bag. I just couldn't get into it, I didn't find it made a difference to my skin in the slightest and I didn't enjoy using it either; it wasn't a product which I went to everyday or even thought about using. I think I'm a bit picky when it comes to moisturisers and facial creams, still looking for that something to wow me.

Victoria Beckham Intimately Eau De Toilette

Once again this is a fragrance which I had used for work purposes, unfortunately I can't remember much about how it smelt but I must have liked it. The description says it has quite a few florals in it which surprises me because I am much more of a food sweet scents kind of person, I quite like the packaging simple but it also looks quite delicate with it being a glass bottle.

Garnier UltraLift Anti - Wrinkle Firming Day Cream

This little red pot came in a set with the micellar waters, even though it wasn't a moisturiser I would normally go for I actually quite liked it. It was smooth, had a slight tint to help with pigmentation. But this was suited for the more mature skin and even though I'm all about starting young, I think I would rather look for a cream that suits my skin at the stage it is in now. I would recommend this though for those who are looking to help with ageing and want something light but soothing for an every day cream.

Finally on to the makeup 'regrets'....

Revlon Dramatic Definition Mascara

This mascara is in the empties because it is pretty much all used up and most definitely all dried out, I don't think I actually bought this mascara.. maybe I got it in an old glossy box? I liked it but I found it really comparable to Rimmel's Lash Accelerator and I actually prefer that one more. These are the type of mascara which seperate your lashes and make them look thicker instead of longer, which I don't mind for an every day look.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Everybody and their mum raves about this drugstore powder, I liked it but now I've hit pan on it the product doesn't come off the same so now it is no use to me. In all honesty I didn't really see what the big deal was about the powder, I think I much prefer loose powders over compact but I've given them my fair shot tried a few and now I've gone back to my Collection Loose Powder which I have always had a soft spot for.

Emite Lip & Cheek Tint

This was another one of the products I recieved in a glossy box and this is the reason I stopped my subscription, even though you get products to try which you would probably never buy off your own back. You also get stuck with products you literally don't use, I have never even opened this lip and cheek tint; for the simple reason I hate lip and cheek tints. I just don't like them, I've tried them before and even though some of them looked nice such as some from benefit I just don't feel like I suit them or they're a product I just don't reach for so hopefully this will find a better home.

Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation

This is pretty much a full bottle of foundation but don't worry all of my unused or unwanted makeup goes to either my cousin who is always after my makeup or my mum... this foundation just didn't work for me. I found the formula quite thin and runny and I found it hard to blend even with my trusty beauty blender, once set it could tend to go patchy in places. It just didn't work for me which I was quite sad about because I've heard this foundation actually has a lot of good reviews, if somebody has tried this maybe you can drop a comment down below and give your opinion on it.

Loreal Paris True Match Concealer

I used all of this concealer up, pretty much just for the sake of using it. As a concealer goes, I don't rate this at all I don't think it did much coverage and the formula was fairly runny compared to what I'm usually used to. I won't be re-buying this makeup product again.

Loreal Paris True Match Powder

I picked this powder up with the intentions of using it to mattify my face, once I got home with it I realised the colouring was a little off for me as a face powder and decided to try it as a contour shade as the colour seemed to have a grey tone to it. For a very subtle contour every day shade it worked fantastic on my pale skin, especially for contouring the nose as it was far less obvious than a typical contour shade would be. This has ended up in the regrets category because I've tried the compact powders now and have realised my heart lies with loose powders which I always knew but I needed to test myself and experiment with products out of my comfort zone.

Rimmel Volume Flash x10 Mascara

I chose this mascara one day when I was out picking up some toiletries, I needed a mascara which wasn't expensive just for those days if I did want to wear makeup to work. I just wanted to try some of the mascaras which get ignored by brands because they're either not the new one being promoted or are cheaper than the others. It was OK, did the job made my lashes super dark but for £2 extra, I think I'll stick to Rimmel's Lash Accelerator for day looks for now.

Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm

My first memory of this is in primary school.. yep that's how many years this has been on the market for. I remember all of the girls in the class pretty much using this, I wasn't quite into the beauty scene then but curious never the less.
Now however is a different story I think I've become
a bit phobic about having dry lips. I like how creamy this product is but for hydration I don't really think it ticks the box, it just provides a layer on top rather than actually hydrating. So I think I'll keep digging about for the perfect lip balm.

Over 50 products later......

Note to Self: 50 products is ridiculous to blog, upload your empties earlier!

Hopefully these mini reviews have encouraged you to want to try out a new product or maybe there was a product in here which you religiously use... I would love to hear of some products you think I should try.
