My Lash Lift Experience...

Hello pretties,

as some of you might know if you follow my instagram I recently got my lashes lifted at a salon in Manchester, and ever since I have been completely in love with them.  I wanted to do a little review about my experience to tell you all about the pro's and con's of having your lashes lifted and if it's something which could work for you.

The salon where I had my treatment is called The Dalton Street Salon, which is based right near the town hall in Manchester. I'm not quite sure of the beautician's name but every single one of the girls were absolutely lovely and made me feel at ease considering it was my first time visiting them.

Before this treatment you have to pop in for a skin test as the lash lift uses two solutions to make them nice and curly, you go in within the next following days for your appointment.

I was seated in a big comfy leather chair, whilst the first solution was applied. Your lashes are applied to a silicone rod, I thought it might have felt a little weird your lashes being drawn back but honestly you can't feel a thing. Then your eyes are cover with a mask and you get to relax for around about 20 minutes... then the beautician comes back and reapplies the next solution and the same process applies.

I think over all the procedure takes around 40 minutes if I'm recalling correctly, it can be a little difficult to open your eyes at first but I think this is just due to you being able to lie back and relax in darkness for a little while it can take a minute to adjust to the light of the salon again.

This picture was taken straight after my session at the salon, as you can see instead of my lashes going straight out then now curl up. It can look as though you have less lashes but I just love how much more awake and bright eyed I look without any mascara, which is perfect for my busy days!

I received a lovely start pack from the girls at Dalton Street which included a points card, £5 off voucher, price list and a sample of shampoo and conditioner. I thought this was a really lovely thought to introduce your new customers, it makes you feel valued! The eye lash lift itself was £26.50 and lasts for around 6 - 8 weeks.

Will I get it done again? Yes! I am completely addicted and I don't think I will be able to look at my eyelashes naturally again. The only downfall which I have found with the lash lift is if you are a make up lover like me, it can be difficult to apply gel eyeliner due to the fact your lashes are curling back. but using a liquid or felt tip form hasn't been an issue.

I hope this little intro of my experience can help somebody who is interested in getting their lashes permed or lifted as I know myself from research, there really isn't much out there about what happens during the process.

I hope to see you again soon!

All my love

Some Good: Lingonberry Powder Review

This pink packet of goodness has been my life saver lately.

If you haven't already heard of the brand Some Good and their famous Lingonberry Powder, then please take a few minutes to read my review I really feel like this company deserve more credit and NO this is not a sponsored just a product I truly believe in!

I decided to order this product after seeing it on some Celebrities Social Media and after doing my own research through the website www.some-good.com, I was really curious about how a little sachet of powder had so many benefits.

It claims to encourage your Fat Metabolism, works as an Anti Inflammitory,  encourages new skin cells and hair cells.

So it sounds too good to be true right?

I've been trying this product for around a month now and I can honestly say it has made such a difference to my everyday life, I started to take it to work as I work very long shifts and around mid day I start to feel my energy lack. Since I've been using my Some Good Powder I can LITERALLY feel the energy kick from drinking this throughout the day, when I would usually begin to start feeling tired and groggy I can feel a recharge of energy throughout my body just to get through the rest of the day.

It definitely helped me when I was bed bound for a few days with the Flu.

I also start to take it before I go to the gym, this way it works to motivate me a natural source of energy to hydrate my body before I get my work out on!

I have really seen a difference in my stomach area, I used to bloat so much but this has really helped me it doesn't take the bloating completely away but I feel as though the Anti Inflammatory properties have really helped to keep the discomfort and embarrassment of a round belly away.

The antioxidants help to keep my skin clear and the cell regeneration has made my hair grow super fast.

Some Good gave me some advice to try my powder with cucumber and lemon, I tried it with cucumber which I do agree is yummy and refreshing. But I actually really like the taste on its own, I think it tastes like a diluted cranberry juice.

My top tip would be to stick it in the freezer the night before and the next day you have an ice cold healthy drink to keep all day long.

If you think your body could do with a kick start, why not give the Lingonberry Powder a go? Give it a few days to start seeing the benefits and you'll be hooked.

Feed your body with natural ingredients and it will thank you later!
